Hackberry Trip

Our gang recently visited Hackberry with Granbob and Grandma. What a fun place to go! There is always something fun to do from fishing (in boat or canal), crabbing, throwing the cast net, placing fish and shrimp in blow up pool for kids to chase, joy riding in lake, eating, etc. A place for adults and kids to have a fine time.

Grandma was brave enough to watch all 3 kids while Granbob, Russell and I went fishing one morning. We caught about 20 trout and a few other kinds of fish that we did not keep. After unloading the ice chest back at the house, the kids had a great time investigating the slimy, slippery, stiff fish. Avery even decided she needed to put it back in the water...so we were down to 19! Still enough to fry!

Thanks Grandma and Granbob!

Summertime Fun

We have had so much funs with our friends over the summer. Whit and Mae invited Will and Avery and other friends (including Thomas and Evan) to their farm to pick vegetables, berries and play in a huge dirt pile.

Here are a few pictures from our summer adventures.

Frank Retires

We had a small family gathering to celebrate Frank's career. It was a great time with our family and Amy did a fabulous job making it a very special night for Frank.

Congratulations Frank

Our Garden

Russell was studying for boards and we had a new baby, so I decided it was a great time to start a garden in our backyard. In March, I killed part of our grass, tilled up the soil, made my rows and planted seeds in the ground. The two days after I planted the seeds, we had torrential downpours and I believe it washed most of my seeds away. I waited and watched and nothing peeked through the ground. So I re-seeded! And lo and behold, we have a garden!

We're Back!

We are back to the old blogspot. Apple is revamping it's system and our website will no longer be an option to share our family updates and pictures. So we are going back to where we started - HERE. So, welcome back!
